Restaurant Report: Wexler’s in San Francisco

Recently I had the chance to spend a weekend in my hometown outside of San Francisco. I was lucky enough to be able to dine at Wexler’s in the financial district downtown with some old friends. This small, modern restaurant is a well designed space with warm and charming service. The food is eclectic, and best described as regional American BBQ with a twist. Meat is obviously a huge part of the menu, with a big emphasis on all forms of pork. Great side dishes and hand crafted cocktails round out the menu. Be sure to save room for their amazing version of banana cream pie!
