Want to see every single piece of staggering Valentino fashion up close and personal without having to leave the comfort of your home? Well you’re in luck. The legendary designer and his business partner Giancarlo Giammetti have just unveiled The Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum, the first digital exhibition developed by a fashion designer. Users can download the 3D virtual museum and navigate through various galleries and wings that would equate a 10,000 square foot physical museum. 300 dresses, 180 fashion shows and 5,000 media images of photos, dresses and drawings are on display. Key creations, such as the black and white vintage Valentino dress Julia Roberts wore to accept her Oscar in 2001, have been photographed in 360 degrees to show every line and stitch.
Giammetti told GOOP, “I wanted to give a complete vision of Valentino’s work, not just the dresses, but the world in which they were born. Fashion is very much a mirror of the times.”
