In the land of Silicon Valley, where business attire typically consists of jeans and hoodies, a curious trend has appeared. Technology entrepreneurs are adding a little flair to their daily ensemble in the form of colorful socks. Geometric patterns, stripes, and socks with words are favored according to The New York Times.
“Let’s say you are wearing sweat pants and a hoodie, but you have really cool socks on,” said Joey Flynn, 24, a product designer at Facebook whose most loved pair contains orange and red elk. “It can be this rebellion against everything, but I’m still considerate about how I put myself together because I have these really cool socks.”
