On an evening that saw a couple get married on stage, Ashton Kutcher dressed as a cowboy serenading the audience to George Strait, and somewhat odd appearances by bands KISS and U2, it’s safe to say that the Academy of Country Music Awards was anything but humdrum. The evening belonged to country’s most beloved stars like Taylor Swift, who won her second consecutive entertainer of the year award; Miranda Lambert, who scored twice with album of the year and female vocalist of the year for the third straight time; and Lady Antebellum, who snagged vocal group of the year. While the show proved entertaining, our eyes were on the ladies of the red carpet as they dazzled in their ensembles. Check out our choice picks below:
Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott in an Emilio Pucci black front crossover gown, Martina McBride in a coral-encrusted Georges Chakra Couture minidress, Carrie Underwood in a thigh-baring Abed Mahfouz strapless gown, Taylor Swift in a J. Mendel white column dress with metallic touches, Miranda Lambert in a Randi Rahm gold metal halter gown, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles in a custom Max Azria watermelon gown with a yellow glitter belt, and Nicole Kidman in a collared L’Wren Scott dress.
