Though the beloved Harry Potter series has come to an end, its author J.K. Rowling has been keeping herself quite busy. The highly anticipated website Pottermore, a free online destination developed by the author, has just opened to all muggles, uh fans, of the beloved series. The site allows users to get additional material on the books, though the bonus writing is currently limited to the first book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Fans can be placed into one of the four Hogwarts houses by way of the magical Sorting Hat, and they can also take part in digital games that allocate house points and spells to its users. An online community to connect with other Potter fans is also open to the public.
Additionally, Rowling is delving into the world of adult fiction with her darkly comic novel The Casual Vacancy. Set to release on September 27th, the book is about a council man who dies unexpectedly, inciting war in his small town of Pagford. To read more about her new novel, visit J.K. Rowling.
