Simple Beauty Scrubs Made in Your Kitchen

Spring may be in full swing, but unfortunately our skin has not gotten the memo. Purchasing professional body scrubs or products may be preferred, but sometimes the best beauty tools can be made using ingredients found in your kitchen cupboards at a fraction of the cost. While perusing Lauren Conrad’s site, The Beauty Department, we came upon two effortless do-it-yourself scrubs containing items that we already have in bulk stock. To make a sea salt scrub coat 5 tablespoons of sea salt evenly with olive oil. Cut a lemon in half, squeeze over salt and oil, and mash ingredients together. To make a brown sugar scrub, combine half a cup of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and a few drops of water. So simple your skin, and wallet, will thank you!
