Nike’s Olympic Uniforms Make Running Look Good

When the U.S. Track & Field athletes hit the ground running this summer for the 2012 London Olympics, they will be sporting some seriously inventive red-hot fashion. Donning the new Nike Pro TurboSpeed collection, the wares have been created using insights from some of the world’s fastest athletes and 1,000 hours of wind tunnel testing. Using Nike AeroSwift technology, patterns and surface areas were informed directly by the testing, with the results making athletes 0.023 seconds faster than previous track uniforms. In addition to being Nike’s swiftest track apparel ever, the design is also their most sustainable, as the uniforms are made from recycled plastic bottles.
