David Beckham’s Guide to London

With the 2012 Olympic opening ceremonies kicking off next Friday, all eyes are firmly fixed on London. And, although he may have been passed over for Team GB men’s Olympic football team, David Beckham has nothing but love for his darling city. Recently, the soccer star talked with The Travel Channel about his favorite spots in Britain, citing Buckingham Palace as a perennial must-see because it is, “In the heart of London, and it’s been the scene of so many great moments in British history.” In addition, Beckham recommends taking the whole family for a trip to the Royal Parks; shopping the Camden, Portobello and Spitalfields markets; and experiencing authentic East London food at Tony Lane’s Pie & Mash restaurant in Waltham Abbey.
