White Sangria “Poptails” that Pack a Punch

These days, thanks to crafty molds that just beg experimentation, popsicles can be made of anything your heart desires, including treats specially designed for adults. Dubbed “Poptails” by Redbook magazine, the tasty pops get the grown-up treatment by combining your liquor of choice with summer’s sweetest fruits. We are particularly drawn to the white sangria popsicles that look to be perfect for elegant summertime entertaining. See the full recipe after the jump.

White Sangria Popsicles

-1 bottle dry white wine
-½ cup simple syrup
-½ cup orange liqueur
-2 lemons
-2 cups chopped fruit (recommended: strawberries, green apples, peaches and blackberries)

-In a bowl, combine the wine, syrup and liqueur
-Juice 1 lemon into the mixture
-Thinly slice and halve the second lemon
-Add in fruit your of choice
-Pour into 3 oz paper cups and freeze for 2 hours
-Insert popsicle sticks and freeze until completely solid
-Serve up to your guests and enjoy!
