Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel

When it comes to legendary figures in fashion, Diana Vreeland was among the best of them. Before Anna Wintour, Vreeland was the editor in chief at Vogue for eight years and a fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar for almost a quarter of a century. In a new documentary set to release on September 21, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel, the editor’s life comes into the spotlight through a series of interviews with friends, family and co-workers. Made by Lisa Immordino Vreeland, who is married to the editor’s grandson Alexander, the film sits down with the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Diane von Furstenberg and Anjelica Huston, and contains interviews and taped recordings with the figure herself. As Vreeland famously remarked, “I wasn’t a fashion editor, I was the one and only fashion editor.” To see more on the film, visit Diana Vreeland.
