Chirp Chirp! Topshop Uses New App During London Fashion Week

Last season Topshop partnered with Google+ on their runway show to massive success, and now the retail giant is at it again, this time with Chirp. A new social media platform, Chirp allowed show guests and shoppers at their Oxford Street store in London to interact with the brand and unlock exclusive content. Chirp utilizes pitched, audible sound to share data and send users an image that, when tapped, reveals backstage action, models going down the runway and the hair-and-makeup tests. “It’s about sending data and content via sound,” says Topshop Global Marketing Director Sheena Sauvaire. “You can really engage with the app when you want to. When people open the app, they can be sent content via chirp and there are specific places to interact with it.” To see how chirp works, click here.
