Best Dressed at the 2012 Metropolitan Museum Gala

Every year the Metropolitan Museum Gala promises a red carpet filled with amazing fashion fit to put any other major red carpet event to shame, and indeed this time around was no different. One winner in our book is the always on point Nina Dobrev, who was wearing a Donna Karan Atelier burnout-beaded dress. Another look we fell head-over-heels for was model Coco Rocha’s vintage Givenchy chartreuse jumpsuit, which was once owned by Elizabeth Taylor and won by Rocha at a Christie’s auction. See all of our favorite picks below:

Top Row: Elizabeth Banks sporting a Mary Kantrantzou plaid peplum dress with cape-like addition, Rooney Mara in a sheer lace Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, January Jones in a sculptural lemon Versace gown with a vintage diamond and turquoise Cartier necklace, Nina Dobrev in a Donna Karan Atelier burnout-beaded dress, Carey Mulligan in a gold and silver paillette Prada dress, Scarlett Johansson in a pearl-embroidered Dolce and Gabbana off-the-shoulder dress.

Bottom Row: Emma Stone in a short Lanvin dress accented with 3,000 plastic flowers and red crystals, Coco Rocha in a vintage Givenchy chartreuse suit, Jessica Alba in a one-shoulder draped lamé gown by Michael Kors, Solange Knowles in a strapless peplum yellow gown by Rachel Roy, Amy Adams in a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture black and white one-shoulder gown with gold bow belt, Camilla Belle in an ivory tulle and beaded dress by Ralph Lauren.
